RImetrics is the authority on measuring asset manager responsible investment competencies and practices. The company was founded in 2007 with the objective of providing independent, credible and authoritative data to asset owners, asset managers, and others interested in incorporating environmental, social and corporate governance analysis into their investment approach.
The founders of RImetrics: Jonathan Horton (CEO), Will Oulton (former Deputy CEO, FTSE Group) and Sir Mervyn Pedelty (former CEO, Co-operative Bank), have significant expertise in both responsible investment and information and data services development.

The technical committee has worked since early 2007 to develop the best practice model and approach to creating a fund manager ratings system.
Their continuing role is to oversee and recommend changes to the rating system in line with emerging best practice. The technical committee reports to the RImetrics Policy Committee and is chaired by Bill McClory, trustee of the BT Pension Fund.

The role of the RImetrics Policy Committee is to oversee and direct the work of the Technical Committee and to advise the Technical Committee and the RImetrics board as to the emerging expectations of institutional investors regarding the responsible investment practices of their chosen asset managers. The Policy Committee also has the role of ensuring the continued relevance and applicability of the ratings system and RImetrics services to global asset owners.
